Automatic Vent
• Gas was not appropriately vented from the Visual-ICE
Cryoablation System when the system was last used
• Vent the system, using either the automatic vent
option or the Manual Vent Valve
30-02
Gas Vent
• Manually vent the Visual-ICE Cryoablation System
using the valve on the rear of the machine

Low Gas Level
• Low level of [helium / argon] gas remains in the
cylinder
• Replace the gas cylinder as soon as feasible with a
new cylinder
NEEDLES
Message
40-01
Unsupported Needle
• The connected needle is not supported by the software
• Choose and connect a different needle type
40-03
Recalled Needle
• This needle lot number is identified as part of a recall
and is unavailable for use
• Return the needle to Boston Scientific
• Connect a needle from a different lot number to
continue the procedure
40-04
Expired Needle
• The needle 'Use by' date is in the past
• Replace with a new needle
40-05
Used Needle
• This needle has been previously used
•Replace with a new needle
40-06
Corrupt Memory
• Needle Memory chip is corrupt on Channel X
• Manually select the needle type
40-07
Passive Thaw Required
• The currently selected needle on channel [x] does not
have i-Thaw Function capability
• Since helium is not connected, passive thaw is required
on this channel
40-08
i-Thaw Error
• Channel [Xa or Xb] i-Thaw Function capable needle is
defective for electrical thawing
• Use passive thaw or connect helium gas

Reason for Appearance / Solutions
Upon startup, there was gas pressure remaining in the
system which will make it difficult to connect needles
User pressed Close button after receiving message
that gas had not been appropriately vented when
the system was last used To clear the remaining gas
pressure, user must manually vent the gas using the
Manual Vent Valve
The system displayed an alert that the estimated
remaining volume in the gas cylinder is low The alert
can be configured by the user to be displayed at an
interval of 0 minutes to 15 minutes (Reference Table 13,
Low Cylinder Alert)
Reason for Appearance / Solutions
A needle type not supported by the software
configuration was connected in the channel The channel
will be disabled until an appropriate needle is connected
The needle lot number was identified as a lot number
in a regulatory recall The channel will be disabled until
a needle from a different lot number is connected
The needle expiration date was identified as an
expired date The channel will be disabled until an
appropriate needle is connected
The software prevents needle reuse and identified a
needle previously used The channel will be disabled
until a new needle is connected
User connected a needle containing a bad memory
chip User may select needle type from the drop-down
menu
Combinations of needles that are i-Thaw Function
capable and that are not i-Thaw Function capable were
connected to the needle connection panel; no helium
gas was connected, so passive thaw was required
An i-Thaw Function capable needle was identified
as not i-Thaw Function operational Passive thaw or
connection of helium for active thaw is required
