6 Connect the opposite end of the auxiliary gas supply line to the new cylinder
7 Carefully turn the cylinder valve on the new gas cylinder counterclockwise for one quarter turn Ensure that the

Advanced Thaw Controls
The Visual-ICE Cryoablation System provides options to select helium-free thawing (i-Thaw Function and FastThaw
Function) and to conduct track ablation (cautery)
NOTE: i-Thaw Function, FastThaw Function and cautery functions are only available when needles with that
capability are connected
NOTE: Argon gas only must be connected to access these functions Connecting helium gas to the Visual-ICE
Cryoablation System disables these functions
i-Thaw Function and FastThaw Function Control for CX-type Needles
CAUTION: Active thawing produces heat along the distal needle shaft Use care to avoid thermal injury to non-
targeted tissues
WARNING: The needle handle may become warm during active thawing Pay attention to the needle handle
position Prolonged contact with warm portions of the needle handle could cause unintended thermal tissue
damage/burn to the patient or clinician
1 Press and hold the Thaw button to access Advanced Thaw Controls (Screen 33) The Advanced Thaw Controls
menu provides access to i-Thaw Function / FastThaw Function and cautery functions
• When i-Thaw Function is operational, pressing the Change to FastThaw Function button in the Advanced
Thaw Controls will change the thaw from i-Thaw Function to FastThaw Function (Screen 33)
