15. EOP (ENGINE OIL PRESSURE)
SWITCH
a. INSPECTION
1) Remove the engine cover (P. 4-2).
2) Disconnect the EOP (Engine Oil Pressure) switch connector.
3) Check for continuity between the EOP switch terminal and
the engine ground.
• The EOP switch is normal if there is continuity.
• Replace the EOP switch if there is no continuity.
b. REPLACEMENT
1) Remove the engine cover (P. 4-2).
2) Disconnect the EOP switch connector.
3) Remove the EOP switch and remove the liquid gasket from
the mounting base of the switch.
4) Apply liquid gasket (ThreeBond
the threaded part of the new EPO switch in the area shown.
5) Install the new EPO switch and tighten it to the specified
torque.
TORQUE: 9 N . m (0.9 kgf . m, 6.6 lbf . ft)
NOTICE
Do not tighten the EPO switch excessively. Overtightening
can cause damage to the cylinder block. Tighten the EPO
switch using a torque wrench.
6) Connect the EPO switch connector.
7) Install the engine cover (P. 4-2).
