on the cylinder head by turning the alternator rotor
counterclockwise. (The No.1 piston is at the top dead center

• Be sure to turn the alternator rotor counterclockwise.
Never turn it clockwise.

6) With the No.1 piston at the top dead center of its

compression stroke, check the valve clearance on the No.1
cylinder.

Insert a feeler gauge between the intake/exhaust side valve
adjusting screw and the valve stem, and measure the valve
