Dischi freno.
Il controllo del disco è importante; esso deve essere perfettamente pulito, cioè senza
ruggine, olio, grasso od altra sporcizia e non deve presentare profonde rigature.
Diametro disco freno anteriore: 320 mm.
Spessore del disco anteriore (a nuovo): 4 mm
Spessore del disco al limite di usura: 3,5 mm
Diametro disco freno posteriore: 230 mm.
Spessore del disco posteriore (a nuovo): 4 mm.
Spessore del disco al limite di usura: 3,5 mm.
Il disco anteriore di questo motociclo è flottante, composto cioè da una parte solidale
al cerchio ruota ed una fascia frenante che, per mezzo di speciali boccole su cui può
scorrere liberamente, è in grado di posizionarsi sotto l'azione della pinza freno.
Dovendo sostituire il disco é necessario sostituire entrambi i componenti.
Nel caso del disco posteriore la distorsione non deve superare i 0,3 mm (misura da
rilevare con un comparatore e con disco montato sul cerchio).
Per rimuovere il disco dal cerchio ruota è necessario svitare le sei viti di fissaggio.
Quando si procede al rimontaggio pulire perfettamente le superfici di appoggio ed
avvitare le viti alla coppia di serraggio prescritta.
Applicare Loctite 243 al filetto delle viti.
Brake discs.
Control of the disc is important; it must be perfectly clean, i.e. without rust, oil, grease
or any other dirt and no deep scorings must be noticed.
Diameter of front brake disc: 12.59 in.
Thickness of front disc (new): 0.157 in.
Thickness of front disc at max wear limit: 0.13 in.
Diameter of rear brake disc: 9.05 in.
Thickness of rear disc (new): 0.157 in.
Thickness of rear disc at max wear limit: 0.13 in.
The front disc of this motorcycle is floating, i.e. it consists of a part integral to the wheel
rim, and a braking band that, by means of special bushings where the disc can slide
freely, is able to get the proper position under the effect of the brake caliper.
Should the disc be replaced, both the components are to be replaced.
For the rear disc, the distortion shall not exceed 0.011 in. (this measure is to be taken
with a comparator and with the disc mounted on the rim).
To remove the disc fram the wheel rim, it is necessary to unscrew the six fastening
screws.
Upon reassembly, perfectly clean the bearing surfaces and screw down the screws
according to the required driving torque.
Apply Loctite 243 on screw's thread.
