REMOVING THE SPIRAL SPRING
Remove:
• Thrust plate 1
• Spiral spring 2
• Thrust plate 3
WARNING
Be careful so that the spiral spring does not
pop out when removing it. Remove it by
allowing it out one turn of the winding
each time.
INSTALLING THE STARTER ROPE
Install:
• Starter rope
NOTE:
• Insert the starter rope through the rope
holes and then tie a knot on the end of the
rope.
• Wind the starter rope 2-1/2 turns around
the sheave drum.
• Place the starter rope through the cut-
away.
INSTALLING THE SHEAVE DRUM
1. Install:
• Thrust plate
• Spiral spring 1
• Thrust plate
• Bushing
• Sheave drum 2
NOTE:
Position the inner end of the spiral spring
on the retainer post a of the sheave drum.
