Cleaning, disinfecting and sterilisation of the protective guard
CAUTION!
Do not use pointed or sharp objects to clean the protective guard!
Proceed as follows:

Clean and disinfect the surface with a cloth wetted with a non-aggressive cleaning or disinfecting agent
with a neutral pH (pH7).

Allow the protective guard time to dry.
3
Seal the fibre optic in a disposal sleeve.
4
Sterilise the protective guard in autoclaves for 20 minutes at a maximum temperature of 135°C.

Disposal
9.1
Disposal conditions and precautionary measures
The conditions of disposal of the unit and precautionary measures to be taken are based on existing
legislation applicable to other electronic equipment that has become unusable.
For the disposal of spare parts, or the unit, please contact the Service Department of Heraeus Kulzer directly
in Hanau. (See paragraph 13.1 Contact person in Hanau, page 41)

Faults and their causes
10.1
Troubleshooting
If the unit malfunctions, please read the Operating Instructions through once again and check the following
table:
FAULT
The charger does not switch on (no LED is
light up).
The red LED on the charger is flashing.
The red LED on the charger is flashing.
The button on the Translux Power Blue
is pressed and there is no exposure, but an
acoustic signal sounds
(2 beeps).
At the end of the exposure cycle, an
acoustic signal sounds
(2 beeps).
During the exposure cycle, an acoustic
signal
(3 beeps) sounds and, at the end of the
cycle, the Translux Power Blue
no further treatment.
The polymerisation is insufficient.

If a fault cannot be eliminated, please contact the responsible service point. The addresses are
listed in paragraph 13 Service, page 41 of these instructions. Unauthorised modifications to
the unit involve hidden dangers and are impermissible.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
The mains power cable is not correctly
connected.
The mains power cable is damaged.
The charger is not working.
The contacts of the charger have short
circuited.
The battery is defective.

The battery is empty.
The battery is at minimum level
The overheating protection system was
activated

The end of the fibre optic is contaminated.
REMEDY
Connect the cable to the charger and plug
socket.
Replace the mains power cable.
