Translux Power Blue
NOTE!
Interruption of the cycle: the exposure cycle can be interrupted at any time in both Fast and
Slow rise functions by pressing the button on the hand piece. If, after a cycle has been
interrupted, you wish to start an exposure of 20 seconds in Slow Rise mode, you must first wait
three seconds before pressing the button again.
NOTE!
Subsequent exposures: at the end of each exposure, new, successive cycles can be executed
by applying appropriate pressure to the button on the hand piece.
NOTE!
Subsequent exposures and 20 second exposures in Fast mode.
If, within three seconds of the end of an exposure (in whatever mode), you press the button on
the hand piece for longer than two seconds, then the subsequent exposure is carried out in
Fast mode at a length of 20 seconds.
If, however, you press the button on the hand piece after three seconds have elapsed after the
previous exposure, in the same way as before, i.e. for longer than two seconds, then the
subsequent exposure will be carried out in Slow Rise mode at a length of 20 seconds.
For brief description of mode of operation, see paragraph 4.2.2 Functions of the operating and display
elements, page 29 and paragraph 4.2.3 Explanation of the acoustic signals when actuating the button on the
hand piece, page 30.
7.4

Protection against overloading

If operation is extremely intensive, an overheating protection system will cut in automatically (normally after 18
consecutive cycles, each lasting 20 seconds), and an acoustic signal is sounded
(3 beeps). The activation of the overheating protection system temporarily (for a few minutes) prevents the
use of the lamp.

The red LED on the charger flashes

If the red LED (2) fig. 2 on the charger flashes, this means:
1
The battery is faulty (see paragraph 6.3.5 Changing the battery, page 33) or
2
Short circuit of contacts on the charger
In case 2 (short circuit), you have to carry out the following to restart the charger:
1
Disconnect the power supply to the charger. All LEDs go off.
2
Eliminate the cause of the short circuit.
3
Connect the charger once more to the mains - the GREEN LED fig. 2 lights up.
