Translux Power Blue
The LED (4) to the right of the sensor immediately shows the measured luminous power;
GREEN LED = sufficient luminous power for the treatment;
RED LED = insufficient luminous power.
If the luminous power is insufficient, patients must not be treated. In this case the following controls and
measures are to be carried out:
1) Check to see if the fibre optic rod is correctly inserted into the hand piece:
(see paragraph 6.4 Connecting accessories, page 33)
2) Check to see if the fibre optic rod is contaminated or damaged.
Clean the contaminated fibre optic rod - see paragraph 8.4 Cleaning, disinfecting and sterilisation of the fibre
optic, page 37 - or replace the damaged fibre optic rod with a new one.
3
If these measures do not lead to an improvement in operation, switch off the unit (pull out the mains plug) and
ensure that unauthorised reactivation is not possible. Have the unit repaired by Heraeus-Kulzer, a Heraeus-
Kulzer service partner or trained, specialist personnel (see paragraph 13 Service, page 41).
