1. Remove the ATSV II/HumidiFilter Cap from the tracheostoma housing or tube.
2. Remove the ATSV II HumidiFilter Cap by rotating the cap clockwise and lifting it off from the
diaphragm/faceplate.
3. Pull the HumidiFilter foam filter out with forceps from under the crossbar and discard.
4. Replace with a new HumidiFilter Foam Filter as described above in Assembly.
Sleeping
The ATSV II and HumidiFilter Cap must be removed before sleeping in order to avoid the potential
for airway obstruction.
SPECIAL STORAGE AND/OR HANDLING CONDITIONS
Only the foam filter portions of these devices have special storage and/or handling conditions:
• Wash hands after handling the devices, as they contains substances that may be irritating to
skin and eyes.
• The packages containing the HME Cartridges and HumidiFilter Foam Filters should be resealed
after opening to preserve the effectiveness of the foam.
DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS
This device is not biodegradable and can be contaminated when used. Carefully dispose of the
device per local guidelines.
