19) Apply marine grease to the outer surface of the throttle
cable pin.

Install the throttle cable pin on the throttle cable pivot so
that the pin ends protrude from the throttle cable pivot by

the dimensions shown.

20) Apply marine grease to the inner wall of the grip pipe,
circumference of the throttle friction pad and to the inner

wall of the throttle friction grip.

Install the throttle friction pad on the grip pipe.
9 Install the grip pipe assembly on the tiller handle assembly
by turning the grip pipe assembly counterclockwise slowly.

21) Tighten the throttle friction grip against the throttle friction
block aligning the recess in the throttle friction pad with the

projection on the throttle friction block.

22) Tighten the 6 x 12 mm flange bolt to the specified torque.

TORQUE: 7 N . m (0.7 kgf . m, 5.2 lbf . ft)
23) Check that the grip pipe is tightened securely by turning it
clockwise fully (full close position), and tighten the throttle
friction grip securely.
Install the grip rubber on the grip pipe with the "
toward up.
