Error and alarm indicator

Network error
(orange icon under incubator name).

MINC+ does not recognize the USB drive.
Center console
Center console fails to respond.
Center console does not display icons.
Alarm
Alarm fails to actuate: no sound emitted, no alarm
icon is displayed, alarm contacts do not actuate.
Buttons
Power button not turning the incubator on or
putting it into standby mode.
Power button flashing.
Lock/Unlock button not working, keypad cannot
be locked or unlocked for user input.
Heater Enable button not responding –
heater will not turn on or off.
Gas Flow Enable button not responding –
gas flow inactive.
Water Level Enable button not responding –
water level cannot be enabled or disabled.
Temperature Up and Down buttons not
responding.
Temperature Up and Down buttons not
functioning correctly. Up decreases the
temperature and Down increases it.
Media warming chamber (MWC) Up and Down
buttons not responding.
MWC temperature Up and Down buttons
not functioning correctly. Up decreases the
temperature and Down increases it.
MWC temperature not displaying at all, or not
displaying correctly while the chamber is on and
warming test tubes.
Chamber display screens
Set Temperature display on screen is wrong.
DishTrace PC install and connectivity
Windows 8.1/10
"Application Installation was unsuccessful."
DishTrace PC software won't install or the
installation is unsuccessful.
MINC+ fails to automatically connect to the
DishTrace PC software.
Events and dish information not displayed on
DishTrace PC screen.
Source of error
Network cable connections are not correctly
connected.
USB drive is not correctly formatted.
System has frozen.
Device has an internal fault.
Internal error.
Keypad functions not working properly,
system has frozen.
Internal system error.
Lock button failure due to internal
malfunction.
Heater button failure due to internal
malfunction.
Gas Flow Enable button failure due to
internal malfunction. Keypad sensor
sensitivity is wrongly configured.

Up function is detected when the down
button is pressed.
Buttons not responding due to internal

Temperature not displaying due to internal
display corruption.
Device has internal malfunction.
Windows has not completed the installation
of Windows updates in the background.
Ensure that the updates are completed,
restart the PC, and then begin the DishTrace
PC installation again.
DHCP server is not present or is not
configured.
Ethernet cables are not connected correctly.
DishTrace PC certificate exchanges not
completed or user group incomplete.
MINC+ database not synchronized with
DishTrace PC database.

Elimination of error
Check the network connections to the MINC+ and
that DishTrace PC is running.
Format the USB drive to FAT32.
Press the Reset button on the rear panel
of the MINC+. If the problem persists, contact
a Cook Medical service agent.
Restart the incubator. If the problem persists,
contact a Cook Medical service agent.
Restart the incubator. If the problem persists,
contact a Cook Medical service agent.

To view the update history on your Windows
operating system, do the following:
1. From the Start menu, open Settings > Update
& Security > Windows Update.
2. Click the View Update History link to open the
Update History window.
If the above instructions do not work, contact your
Cook Medical service agent.
If the DHCP server should be available, contact
your network provider for advice on DHCP
configuration.
If DHCP is not available, assign static IP addresses
with a subnet of 10.0.0.x, where x is a number from
1 to 254 that is unique to each connected device.
If the above instructions do not work, contact your
Cook Medical service agent.
Reseat the ethernet cable connections or replace
the cable.
Complete DishTrace PC installation process in
accordance with Section 4.13. If problem persists
contact a Cook Medical Service agent.
Refer to Section 5.5.5 to resynchronize the
DishTrace PC database with connected MINC+
device databases.
