K-MINC-2000 Instructions for Use
A dish report can be generated by clicking the Report button on the
History tab. Two options can be selected:
• Total Duration Checked Out – Total time the dish was checked out
over the assigned period.
• Average Checked Out Duration – The total time that the dish was
checked out divided by the number of checkouts.
Reports are generated in PDF format. A detailed log of all the MINC+
operating parameters from the selected period for the assigned dish can
be generated by using the Export button. Refer to Section 5.5.14.
To generate a dish report
1. Under the Records screen, double-click a dish record.
2. Select the History tab.
3. Click the Report button. A dialog box will appear. Choose the options
to include in the report by clicking on the boxes, and then add any
comments to be included in the report. Click OK to continue.
4. Select a location to save the Dish Report. Select the folder or a drive
location other than the Desktop or My Documents folder to which
you want to save the report. Click OK to continue.
5. Once the dish report is saved, a dialog box will appear: 'Report
Successfully Exported.' Click OK.
5.5.14 Export a dish-specific incubator parameter report
This function generates a CSV file with a detailed log of the MINC+
operating parameters over the assigned period for the selected dish. The
file can be used for detailed analysis, if required.
1. Under the Records screen, double-click a dish record.
2. Select the History tab.
3. Click the Export button. A dialog box will appear. Select the folder or
a drive location other than the Desktop or My Documents folder to
which you want to save the report. Click OK to continue.
4. After the report is saved, a dialog box will appear: 'Report
Successfully Exported.' Click OK.
5.5.15 System tab
The system screen provides the following information for all the active
networked incubators.
Temperature – Graphs the number of left and right chamber
temperature set points.
Incubation Stage – Graphs the number of active dishes and their
incubation time in days.
Database Management – Shows the amount of storage space used on
the Dishtrace PC database.
Recent Dishes – Shows when dishes were added to the list of available
dishes.
Recent Alerts & Events – Shows all alerts and events of all active
incubators.
5.5.16 To view incubator alerts
1. Under the System tab, click the View Alerts button in the middle
of the right-hand side of the screen. A new screen will appear that
shows the incubator alerts:

5.5.17 DishTrace PC settings
Changing general settings
The Settings tab allows you to customize the way that the DishTrace PC
software presents information.
1. To change the Language, Date, Time, Name, or Record
Identification, use the drop-down menus for each field.
2. After the changes are complete, click Save.
5.5.18 Back up the DishTrace PC database
1. In the Settings tab, click the Backup button.
2. Choose a location to save the database file. This file cannot be saved
on the Desktop or My Documents folder. It must be saved on an
external drive or within the computer's C drive (e.g. C:\MINC3 data).
3. Press Save.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This backup will include all the incubators on the
network that are currently detected and used by DishTrace PC.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The database backup file can be used only in
DishTrace PC. It cannot be opened on a PC or Mac.
5.5.19 Restore DishTrace PC database (from a saved backup file)
1. In the Settings tab, click the Restore button.
2. Browse to the backup file from its current location. A dialog box will
ask for confirmation. Click Yes to continue.
3. The database will start to restore. When it is complete, a message will
appear: 'Database restore has been completed successfully.'
Click OK to continue.
5.5.20 Purge the DishTrace PC database
1. In the Settings tab, click the Purge button. A pop-up window will
provide a choice of three time spans of data to be purged. Note: For
oldest 3 and 6 month purges, the last 14 days data will be retained if
the time period includes the last 14 days. Unassigned dishes in the
selected time period will be purged. Purge All Data will delete all
data except for assigned checked in/out dishes.
• Oldest 3 months
• Oldest 6 months
• All Data
2. Select any option to continue.
3. A pop-up window will ask you if you want to delete the incubator data
on the PC for the selected duration. Click Yes to continue.
4. The purging process will commence. When it is complete, a message
will appear: 'Database Purge has been completed successfully.'
Click OK to continue.
5. After a purge All Data, the MINC+ will need to be reconnected to
DishTrace PC as per Section 4.13.7. The certificate will already be
in the PC's repository and only requires acknowledgment that the
incubator has been added.
