K-MINC-2000 Instructions for Use
4. Fill the humidification flask reservoir to the MAX FILL line with sterile
or filtered water (approximately 160 mL). Do not overfill.
1
5. Remove the funnel and then firmly push the flask T-piece onto
the reservoir outlet spigot. Orient the outlet of the flask T-piece
perpendicular to the flask reservoir to the left or right, to match the
right or left humidification bay that it will be inserted into.
6. Place a finger on the support clip and lift the assembled humidification
flask upward to detach it from the support clip. Check that no water is
leaking from the flask.
4.10.3 Flask installation
1. Open the chamber lid. Ensure that the gas flow to the chamber is
disabled before proceeding.
2. Hold the humidification flask upright with the flask T-piece oriented
into the chamber in which the flask is to be installed. Hold the top
latch back. While holding the end of the flask T-piece as high as
possible to prevent water from spilling out, insert the flask into the
humidification flask (HF) bay at a 10-15 degree angle, positioning the
HF seal housing over the HF bay gas nozzle at the back of the HF bay
(see Figure 12).
3. Rotate the flask, seating it into the HF bay until it is positioned so that
the top latch is parallel with the surrounding surface of the chamber
baseplate.
4. Insert the flask T-piece into the slot in the chamber baseplate. Ensure
that the flask T-piece is straight and is pushed completely into the slot.
5. Push the top latch forward to lock the flask into position in the HF bay.
6. Gently push the rear edge of the HF seal housing into the HF bay gas
nozzle to ensure that it is properly seated.
7. Gently push the top of the flask T-piece to ensure that it is seated.
8. Close the chamber lid.
