K-MINC-2000 Instructions for Use
To view logged alerts and other events
1. Tap the Alerts/Events icon. The following screen will appear
showing all events and alerts for the MINC+:

2. Tap the up and down arrows to scroll through the occurrences.
3. To display alerts only (i.e., omitting events such as lid openings) tap
the Display Alerts Only checkbox.
5.4.10 To search for a dish or patient record and generate a dish report
1. Ensure that the USB drive is inserted into the front USB port below
the center console touchscreen.
2. Tap the Reports icon. The following screen will appear:
3. Tap Search for Dish/Patient Report.
4. Enter a search term. Records can be searched by Last Name, First
Name, Dish ID, and Patient ID.
5. Select Export Report.
6. Select PDF or CSV format. A report will be generated for the specific
dish and saved to the external USB drive.
5.4.11 To generate an incubator report
1. Ensure that a USB drive is inserted into the front USB port below the
center console touchscreen.
2. Tap the Reports icon. The following screen will appear:
3. Tap Generate Incubator Report.
4. Select the date range for the report by tapping the calendar icon. The
maximum date range is three months.
5. Select Export Report.
6. Select PDF or CSV format. A report of all the MINC+ logs, events, and
alerts within the specified date range will be generated and saved to
the external USB drive.
5.4.12 Status screen
The status screen provides a current snapshot of the left and right
incubation chambers, the media warming chamber (MWC), the gas flow
status, and the water level of each humidification flask. There are no
available actions on this screen to change the operational settings of the
MINC+ via the center console.
5.4.13 Settings screen – General tab
The Settings screen enables the user to change general settings, dish
configuration, network settings, date and time settings, manage the
database and display incubator information.
General tab
This screen displays the incubator name and dish settings.
• Device Settings – This allows the MINC+ to be assigned a name. Select
the pencil icon to add the incubator name. Assign a name (maximum of
20 characters) that is meaningful to the lab or describes the location of
the device. The characters allowed for the incubator name are: 0-9, a-z ,
A-Z, -, _, ., (, ), #, @, &.
• Lid Open Alert – If this option is selected, the Dish Assignment menu
option is enabled. Refer to Section 5.4.8.
• Beep on Touch – If this option is enabled, then when the center
console is touched, a beep will confirm user actions.
• Language – Select language from the drop-down list. The default is
English.
• Primary Dish ID – This option determines the text that is displayed
for the dish on the Contents screen. This must be defined to correctly
identify dishes.
• Secondary Dish ID – This option sets the text for secondary
information that is displayed for each dish on the Contents screen. This
information is not displayed for small (35 mm) dishes.
• Name Format – Sets the order in which the patient's first and last
names are displayed.
