INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
WARNING:
Do not perform any table articulations while the Advance Cervical Device is
installed. Patient fall, injury, or equipment damage could occur.
WARNING:
Do not press the Cervical Traction Release button while traction weight is being
applied. To do so could cause the assembly to retract and the traction weight to
move. Patient fall, injury, or equipment damage could occur.
9.
Use traction weight per facility protocols. Make sure that:
• The traction weight is in a safe position such that it is free from possible
unintended movement.
• You do not press the Cervical Traction Release button while traction weight is
being applied.
• You do not press the carriage adjustment releases while traction weight is
being applied.
Change the Cervical Traction Angle
WARNING:
Do not adjust the cervical traction angle when a patient is in cervical traction. If
the cervical traction angle must be changed during a procedure, fully support
and stabilize the patient before you adjust the cervical traction angle. Patient
injury can occur.
1.
If necessary, fully support and stabilize the patient so that the patient is not in cervical
traction.
2.
Make sure that there is not tension on the cervical traction rope. Remove or support
the traction weight to make sure that there is not tension on the cervical traction
rope.
3.
Press the carriage adjustment releases and raise or lower the carriage to the desired
position.
4.
Make sure that the carriage is locked in position when the carriage adjustment
releases return to the locked position. The white ball indicator will be fully visible when
the carriage adjustment releases are in the fully locked position.
