3. If you need to use the lateral top, remove the H-brackets or Advance Pinless H-
Bracket, if installed (refer to "Remove a Support Top and/or Bracket" on page 38)
and go to "Install the Lateral Bracket" on page 42.
4. If the lower H-brackets are not installed on each end of
the Allen Advance Table, proceed as shown below.
Otherwise, go to Step 5.
a. Hold the H-bracket so that the open end is down, the
J ends are toward you, and the bracket is angled
toward you.
b. Install the J ends of the H-bracket on the bowtie so
that the H-bracket fits into the notches on the sides of
the bowtie.
c. Insert the cross pin into the H-bracket, through the
bowtie, and through the other end of the H-bracket.
WARNING:
Do not use the H-bracket without the cross pin
installed correctly. To do so could cause patient fall,
injury, or equipment damage.
d. Make sure the drop lock on the end of the cross pin
moves to the side to hold the H-bracket in position.
e. Repeat these steps to install an H-bracket on the other
column.
