INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Battery Charge Level
WARNING:
If the batteries are not charged before you use the Allen Advance
Table, the Allen Advance Table may not function in an emergency
situation. Patient fall or injury could occur.
When the Battery Charge Level indicator shows a low level of charge or if you hear a
"beep" from the Allen Advance Table when you try to use the pendant controls, plug the
Allen Advance Table into an applicable power outlet to charge the batteries. To keep
the batteries charged, plug the Allen Advance Table into an outlet nightly and when you
store the Allen Advance Table.
NOTE: A "beep" from the Allen Advance Table lets you know that the battery charge
level is low or depleted.
NOTE: When the Allen Advance Table is not plugged in: the Battery Charge Level
indicator will be on when the On/Off switch is on; the Battery Charge Level indicator will
be off when the On/Off switch is off.
Potential Equalization Conductor
There is a plug on the Allen Advance Table and on the optional
Air Pump (see page 45) for you to connect an equipotential
bonding cable. This will equalize any potential difference when
the Allen Advance Table is to be used with a patient who has
intravenous, cardiac, or other medical equipment.
