INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
WARNING:
Failure to use correct lifting methods could cause patient fall, injury, or equipment
damage.
g. With the help of another person, align the ends of the support top with the pre-
determined hole location.
WARNING:
Never remove a cross pin from a support top while a patient is on the support top.
Patient fall or injury could occur.
h. At each end of the support top, insert a cross
pin into the H-bracket, through the top
connector assembly, and through the other
end of the H-bracket.
WARNING:
Do not use the support top without the cross pins installed correctly through the
H-brackets. To do so could cause patient fall, injury, or equipment damage.
i.
Make sure that—
• All cross pins are correctly installed into the H-brackets and support tops.
• The drop lock on the end of the cross pins has moved to the side to hold the
support tops and H-brackets in position.
3.
Loosely install a minimum of four safety straps evenly spaced and around both
support tops.
NOTE: We recommend that you use the four Allen® Safety Straps that were included with
the support top.
4.
Make sure the support tops are in the correct position, and then tighten the safety
straps.
5.
Make sure the superior support top is progressively compressed against the patient
and once again tighten the safety straps.
