12. Remove the lateral top as follows:

At least two people are necessary to safely remove the lateral top. The lateral top

can fall when the cross pins are removed. Always have a second person present

to make sure that the lateral top does not fall. Failure to do so can cause patient

injury and equipment damage.

a. Disconnect the lateral top electrical connector.

b. Have a second person hold the lateral top so that it does not fall when the cross

pin is removed.

c. Make sure that the drop lock on the end of the cross pin aligns with the cross pin,

and remove the cross pin at each end of the lateral top. Remove the cross pin at

the foot end of the lateral top first.

d. Remove the lateral top.

13. Install the arm boards on the rail top.

14. Remove the Drawsheet from the patient.

15. Put the patient in the prone position as directed by the surgeon.

Flip the Support Top 180°

Before you adjust the Allen Advance Table or use the flip or tilt features, make

sure that the brakes are locked, the patient's weight is equally distributed on the

support top, the patient is fully prepared for the adjustment; the Allen Advance

Table is free of objects that could interfere with the adjustment, and all loose or

unsupported objects have been secured. Otherwise, patient fall, injury, or

equipment damage could occur.

Make sure that—

• The brakes are locked (the locked indicator on the

Allen Advance Table display is green).

• The patient is secured to the support top and is fully

prepared for the adjustment.
