To position the patient:
1. Max Inflate the support surface.
2. Position the patient in the center of the support surface.
3. Align the patient's head toward the headboard (Figure 7).

4. Check the patient during lateral rotation for proper positioning and support surface inflation (Figure 8 ).

You can use disposable diapers or incontinence pads to manage incontinence. Always provide appropriate skin care after
each incontinence episode.

W W A A R R N N I I N N G G - - Always follow your hospital CPR protocols. Make sure that the operator has access to the CPR straps.
C C A A U U T T I I O O N N - - Always confirm that all persons and equipment are away from the area below and around the Fowler before
you activate the CPR release handle. The CPR release handle is for emergency use only.
To prepare the bed frame and support surface for CPR, these steps must be followed:
1. Pull and hold the P P r r o o C C u u i i t t y y CPR release handle (A) to lower the head of bed to the flat position. The two CPR release
handles are on the left and right side of the litter Gatch section of the bed (Figure 9).
