Relocate the support surface to clean or move to another P P r r o o C C u u i i t t y y bed frame.
C C A A U U T T I I O O N N
• Do not move the support surface without assistance.
• Do not use the support surface as a transfer device to avoid the risk of patient injury.
P P r r e e r r e e q q u u i i s s i i t t e e : : Minimum of two operators are required to relocate and setup this product.
To relocate the support surface:
1. Apply the brakes on the P P r r o o C C u u i i t t y y bed frame.
2. Lower the siderails to the lowest position of the P P r r o o C C u u i i t t y y bed frame.
3. Put the bed into the flat position.
4. Remove the patient from the support surface. Follow your hospital protocols.
5. Pull the bed extender out on the P P r r o o C C u u i i t t y y bed frame.
6. Remove the linens.
7. Raise the Fowler to access the Fowler retainer holes.
8. Release the support surface retainer straps from the bed.
9. Lower the Fowler to the flat position.
10. If powered, unplug the bed from the wall outlet. Turn the battery switch to off.
11. Unplug the support surface power/data cable from the bed.
12. Remove the power/data cable from the strain relief bracket.
13. Remove the headboard and footboard from the bed and set aside.
14. Position an operator at each end of the support surface and remove the support surface and relocate.
N N o o t t e e - - Use all four handles when you lift to relocate the support surface.
15. Reinstall the headboard and footboard removed in step 9.
16. Turn the battery switch to on. Plug the bed power cord into a hospital grade protective earthed outlet.
17. See Setup (page 9) to complete the transfer of the support surface.
