The product must reach the ambient operating temperature before setup or operation to avoid the risk of permanent
damage to this product.

• Always confirm the scale system functions on the P P r r o o C C u u i i t t y y bed after you setup the support surface to prevent product
malfunction. Always make sure that the bed is zeroed/tared with the support surface on the frame for the appropriate
patient weight for therapy.
• Do not use fitted sheets with this support surface.

• Only use I I s s o o l l i i b b r r i i u u m m PE with the compatible P P r r o o C C u u i i t t y y bed frame. Use of this device on an incompatible frame will cause
improper or no function of the support surface. Failure to use a compatible frame may void warranty if damages incur.
• Risk of Shock. This product must only be connected to the appropriate terminal on the P P r r o o C C u u i i t t y y bed frame.
• Explosion risk. This product is not suitable for use in the presence of flammable anesthetic mixture with air or with
oxygen or nitrous oxide other than nasal, mask type, or half bed-length tent type.
• Do not move the support surface without assistance.
• Always use the bottom cover retainer straps to secure the support surface to the P P r r o o C C u u i i t t y y bed frame.
N N o o t t e e - - Do not operate the support surface without the top cover, bottom cover, and linens.
P P r r e e r r e e q q u u i i s s i i t t e e : Minimum of two operators are required to setup the support surface.
To setup the support surface:
1. Remove all shipping and packaging materials from the product before use.
2. Allow the product to reach room temperature.
3. Apply the brakes on the P P r r o o C C u u i i t t y y bed frame.
4. Lower the siderails to the lowest position of the P P r r o o C C u u i i t t y y bed frame.
5. Put the bed into the flat position.
6. Pull the bed extender out on the P P r r o o C C u u i i t t y y bed frame.
7. If powered, unplug the bed from the wall outlet. Turn the battery switch to off.
8. Remove the headboard and footboard from the bed and set aside.
9. See Resetting CPR (page 15).
10. Position an operator at each end of the support surface and lift onto the bed frame.
11. Insert the power/data cable (A) at the foot end of the support surface through the strain relief (B) (Figure 1).
