NOTICE
See section "Bus Wilo Net – green terminal block" [" 44], section "Twin-head pump opera-
tion" [" 90] and section "Application and function of the Wilo Net interface" [" 121] for in-
formation on installing and configuring two single pumps as a two-pump system.
•
In case of breakdown/fault/communication interruption, the functional pump takes over complete oper-
ation. The pump runs as a single pump according to the set operating modes of the twin-head pump. The
standby pump starts immediately after detecting a fault.
Twin-head pump in the Wilo Net network
If twin-head pumps are added to a larger Wilo Net system (e.g. Multi-Flow Adaptation), the local Wilo Net
twin-head pumps must be adapted to the large system.
Both pump heads require, for example, a Wilo Net ID that is unique in the entire Wilo Net network.
As a factory setting, the two pump heads each have ID 1 and ID 2 and termination activated.
At least one termination must be deactivated for the integration, depending on the position in which the
twin-head pump is integrated in the Wilo Net network.
With the operation on pump head I of a twin-head pump, only the Wilo Net ID and termination of this pump
head can be changed. In order to be able to assign new Wilo Net IDs to both pump heads of a twin-head
pump, the twin-head pump system must first be terminated and the new ID (e.g. "7") must be set on pump
head I. Then the HMI (graphic display) must be changed from pump head I to pump head II in order to adjust
the Wilo Net ID (e.g. "8") there as well. Then change the HMI back to pump head I and reconnect the twin-
head pump.
Twin-head pump as feeder pump in the MFA system
In this case, the wiring of the twin-head pump to the Wilo Net is only established at pump head I.
Due to the internal twin-head pump wiring, the pump head II is automatically connected to the Wilo Net net-
work. The end of the Wilo Net bus is automatically terminated at pump head II by the factory setting of the
twin-head pump.
At pump head I, the termination must be cancelled. The IDs 1 and 2 used in the twin-head pump remain un-
touched.
Motor replacement (RMOT) for twin-head pumps
If a twin-head pump with SW < 01.04.00.00 is replaced with a motor (RMOT) with SW ≥ 01.04.19.00 (see
menu "Device information" [" 126]), a SW update is mandatory for the other pump head (see section "Up-
date Firmware" [" 144]).
