11.8 Application and function of Smart Gateway
With the Wilo-Smart Gateway, it is possible to monitor and operate the Wilo-Stratos MAXO pumps remotely
via the Internet from anywhere.
Cloud technology is used for remote control via the Internet. Data is switched and stored via the Wilo-Smart
Cloud.
When using a Wilo-Stratos MAXO pump with SW < 01.04.00.00 with the Wilo-Smart Gateway, a SW update
of all Wilo-Stratos MAXO pumps to a higher SW version must be carried out. Only then can they communi-
cate with the Gateway via the Wilo Net.
NOTICE
If the pump system was already networked to a Wilo Net system before the installation of a
Smart Gateway (e.g. for the Multi-Flow Adaptation function), only the Wilo-Smart Gateway
needs to be inserted into the existing Wilo Net installation.
