INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ATTENTION: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER CORD FROM THE ELECTRICITY MAINS BEFORE
FITTING OR REMOVING SINGLE ATTACHMENTS OR BEFORE CLEANING THE APPLIANCE.
NOTE: For the first use, clean all parts as described in the "Cleaning and maintenance" section. Set
the appliance to "BAKE" mode and operate it empty for about 10 minutes. After it has cooled down,
clean it again.
Dry the parts well before refitting them. The appliance is now ready to be used.
- Fit the kneading arm (L) to the shaft inside the bowl (M) (Fig. 3).
- Measure out the ingredients with the measure (N) or measuring spoon (O) provided or weigh them
and then place them in the bowl (M).
- Place the bowl (M) over the shaft inside the appliance, turning it clockwise to lock it into place
(Fig. 4).
IMPORTANT: It is essential to follow the correct sequence when inserting the ingredients, as
required in the recipe. The sequence in general is: liquid ingredients, water, flour, eggs and other
ingredients in the recipe. Add the yeast last, in the centre of the other ingredients.
- Close the lid (G) and plug the appliance into the mains power. The display (E) will read "MENU 1
TIMER 3:25".
- Set the appliance following the instructions below and according to the selected functions on the
display (E):
- select a baking programme using the relevant key (D);
- select the required loaf size - 450g, 700g, 900g, using the relevant key (C);
- select the browning level: slight, medium or dark, using the relevant key (Q);
- select the timer (if necessary) using the increase/decrease keys (B).
- Start the appliance by pressing the On/Off button (P). The symbol ":" will start to flash and the LED
will switch on.
IMPORTANT: If necessary, stop the selected programme by pressing the On/Off button (P) for 1
second and select a new one: repeat the above steps to select the new settings. In other cases, do
not touch the control panel during the preparation stages.
NOTE: For the CAKE programme, (No.7), grease the inside of the bowl and the kneading arm.
IMPORTANT: While your bread is baking, it is possible for the steam to come out from the fan under
the lid (G); this is perfectly normal.
- When the time on the display (E) is "0:00", the baking process is finished. The appliance will make
a beeping sound, 15 times and automatically pass to the "WARMING" functions for 1 hour. The
symbol ":" and LED will continue to flash (except for on the "MIXING" programme).
After warming for 1 hour, the appliance will beep again and the symbol ":" and LED will stop flash-
ing and the programme will return to its initial state.
If you wish to bypass the "WARMING" function at the end of the baking process, press the On/Off
button (P) for 1 second.
- Unplug the appliance from the power mains, open the lid (G) and, wearing oven gloves, firmly grip
the handle of the bowl (M), turning it anticlockwise and take it out the right way up (Fig. 5).
- Leave the bread to cool before removing it from the bowl; this process requires a non-stick spatula,
starting from the sides.
