Installing cylinders with foot mountings

6.2.1 Positioning the foot mountings
The requisite number of foot mountings are supplied automatically
when a complete cylinder is ordered. They must be mounted with
one pair at each end and evenly distributed about one meter apart.

Foot mountings must always be used when installing
cylinders with ball rail guide RMC-HD and RMC-HE. Always
use all the foot mountings supplied.
6.2.2 Fitting foot mountings, piston size 25-80 mm
1. Position the nuts supplied (1) in the lower slot on the side of the
cylinder and fix loosely with the corresponding screws (2). See
Figure 4.
2. Place the cylinder on a firm, flat surface.
3. Lay out the foot mountings with one pair at each end and the
others evenly distributed on both sides along the length of the
cylinder, about one metre apart; see Figure 3 above.
4. Attach each foot mounting to the surface with suitable screws
or bolts.
5. Tighten the screws gradually to avoid strain. See Table 3, on
page 50 for tightening torques.
6. Tighten the stop screws (3) so that they are slightly pressed
into the material of the cylinder body. Tightening torque 6 Nm.
