1. ENGINE/GENERATOR ASSEMBLY
a. REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1) Remove the following parts:
– Left and right maintenance cover (P. 4-1)
– Fuel tank (P. 7-1)
– Air cleaner (P. 4-2)
– Front cover (P. 6-1)
– Inverter unit and control panel (P. 6-2 and 5)
– Recoil starter and front frame (P. 9-1 and 5)
– Rear cover and outer muffler protector (P. 8-1)
– Muffler (P. 8-2)
– Inner muffler protector (P. 8-3)
2) Remove the carburetor drain tube and air vent tube from
the under plate.
• See page 4-3 for carburetor drain tube and air vent tube
routing.
3) Open the wire harness band and disconnect the ignition
pulse generator wire and engine temperature sensor wire
connectors.
4) Remove the ground terminal bolt.
5) Remove the ground terminal and open the wire harness
band.
