7. SEDIMENT CUP
Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive.
You can be burned or seriously injured when handling fuel.
• Keep heat, sparks and flame away.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
• Handle fuel only outdoors.
Cleaning:
1) Turn the engine switch and fuel valve lever to the OFF
position.
2) Open the left maintenance cover and remove the sediment
cup and O-ring.
3) Wash the sediment cup in nonflammable or high flash-
point solvent.
4) Install the sediment cup using a new O-ring.
Tighten the sediment cup.
5) After cleaning and reassembly, check the sediment cup for
leaks. Be sure there is no spilled fuel before starting the
engine.
