Bei der Inbetriebnahme beachten Sie bitte Folgendes:
• Alle Komponenten müssen vor jedem Einsatz auf
Beschädigungen und auf Verschmutzung überprüft wer-
den.
• Auf ausreichenden Seitenabstand zu anderen Geräten
(insbesondere Hochfrequenzgeräten) und Gegenständen
ist zu achten.
• Beim Anschluss vom VIDEOENDOSKOP oder der T-CAM
sind die spezifischen Anleitungen und Hinweise zur
Bedienung und Handhabung zu beachten.

HINWEIS: Erst nach erfolgreichem Funktionstest
dürfen das Gerät und das Zubehör verwendet wer-
den.

Installation und Schnittstellen
Die folgenden Systemabbildungen zeigen den richtigen
Aufbau des Systems. Bei Verwendung der Schnittstellen
für andere als die in dieser Anleitung beschriebenen
Anwendungsgebiete ist der Benutzer/der Systemhersteller für
den ordnungsgemäßen und sicheren Betrieb verantwortlich.

VORSICHT: Über USB kann ein verlässliches Bild
mit geringer Latenz nicht gewährleistet werden. Der
USB-Anschluss dient daher nur der Dokumentation
über einen PC. Der USB-Anschluss unterstützt keine
Drucke.
Netzteil anschließen
Schließen Sie das Netzteil (20290120-PS) an und schie-
ben sie es bis zum Anschlag in die Netzbuchse ein.
Nach dem Anschluss des TECHNO HUB am Stromnetz,
leuchtet die LED an der Frontseite dauerhaft und zeigt
Betriebsbereitschaft an. Der TECHNO HUB kann ohne
Netzanschluss nicht betrieben werden.
TECHNO HUB mit Monitor verbinden
Schließen Sie den TECHNO HUB mit dem S-Video Kabel
oder einem HDMI-Kabel an einen Monitor an.

HINWEIS: Der S-Video Ausgang liefert ein NT-
SC-Signal, der HDMI-Ausgang ein VGA-Signal
(640 x 480/60p). Der Monitor muss diese Formate
unterstützen um ein einwandfreies Bild anzeigen zu
können.
TECHNO HUB mit PC verbinden
Sie können den TECHNO HUB optional mit einem PC
verbinden. Verwenden Sie hierzu das USB-Kabel. Der PC
erkennt den TECHNO HUB als Standard-USB Videogerät.
Bei Verwendung von Windows ab XP SP2 oder späteren
Versionen müssen keine Treiber installiert werden.

HINWEIS: Die im Lieferumfang enthaltene
KARL STORZ Video Editor Software kann für die
Darstellung und Aufzeichnung des Videostreams ver-
wendet werden.

HINWEIS: Aufgrund zahlreicher Hardware/Soft-
ware-Kombinationen, die nicht von KARL STORZ
überprüft werden können, ist der USB-Anschluss nur
für Dokumentationszwecke vorgesehen. Es wird kein
Drucker am USB-Anschluss unterstützt.

Preparing the device for use
Please observe the following when starting up the system:
• Check all components for damage and contamination
before each use.
• Ensure adequate side clearance from other equipment (in
particular HF equipment) and objects.
• When connecting the VIDEOSCOPE or the T-CAM, the
specific instructions and notes on operation and handling
must be observed.

NOTE: The device and accessories may only be
used once the test for proper functioning has been
successfully completed.

Installation and interfaces
The following system images show the correct setup of
the system. In the event that the interfaces are used for
applications other than those described in this manual, the
user/configurator of the system is responsible for ensuring its
proper and safe operation.

CAUTION: A reliable image with minimal latency
cannot be guaranteed via USB. The USB port thus
only serves the purpose of documentation via a PC.
The USB port does not support a printer.
Connecting the power supply unit
Connect the power supply unit (20290120-PS) and plug it
fully into the power socket. After connecting the TECHNO
HUB to the mains power supply, the LED on the front is lit up
permanently indicating operational readiness. The TECHNO
HUB cannot be operated without a connection to the power
supply.
Connecting the TECHNO HUB to a monitor
Connect the TECHNO HUB to a monitor using the S-Video
cable or an HDMI cable.

NOTE: The S-Video output provides an NTSC
signal, the HDMI output provides a VGA signal (640 x
480/60p). The monitor must support these formats to
enable a perfect image to be displayed.
Connecting the TECHNO HUB to a PC
You can optionally connect the TECHNO HUB to a PC. Use
the USB cable for this. The PC recognizes the TECHNO
HUB as a standard USB video device. When using Windows
XP SP2 or later versions, it is not necessary to install any
additional drivers.

NOTE: The KARL STORZ video editor software
included in the scope of supply can be used to
display and record the videostream.
NOTE: Due to the multitude of hardware/software

combinations which KARL STORZ is unable to test,
the USB port is only intended for documentation
purposes. No printer is supported by the USB port.
