7 DISASSEMBLY AND REMOVAL OF CW QUICK COUPLER

The CW quick coupler may only be disassembled by skilled personnel. The instructions described in this Section
must be followed.
1. The safety requirements in Section 2 must be complied with before starting any disassembly of the CW
quick coupler.
2. Place the CW quick coupler in a flat and stable position on the ground.
3. In the case of a hydraulic CW quick coupler, ensure that the hydraulic system is depressurised. For this,
refer to the instructions of the hydraulic system.
4. Switch off the excavator, and make sure that it cannot be started during the disassembly.
5. In the case of a hydraulic version, uncouple the hoses between the locking cylinder and the excavator.
Collect any hydraulic fluid, and drain the remaining fluid from the locking cylinder.
6. Cap disconnected pipes on the excavator so that no hydraulic fluid can leak out.
7. Remove the pins between the excavator and CW quick coupler.
8. Dispose of the hydraulic fluid in accordance with local regulations.
9. If the CW quick coupler or any of its parts have reached the end of their service lives, they must be
disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
