9. Never exceed the maximum permitted loads specified in Sections 1.4, 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 for the CW quick
coupler, the lifting hook and the maximum permitted lifting weight of the excavator. Also take into
account the weight of any hoist!
THE MAXIMUM PERMITTED LOADS OF THE CW QUICK COUPLER OR THE LIFTING HOOK MAY DIFFER
TO THE MAXIMUM PERMITTED LIFTING LOAD OF THE MACHINE OR THE COUPLED HOIST. NONE OF
THE MAXIMUM PERMITTED LOADS MAY BE EXCEEDED. IN ADDITION, TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE
WEIGHT OF ANY HOISTS!
10. Position the lifting hook or the lifting point of the hoist coupled to the CW quick coupler above the
centre of gravity of the load to be lifted.
11. Attach hoisting equipment to the load and the lifting hook or to the coupled hoist. Never stand on or
under the CW quick coupler or the attached hoist to couple hoisting equipment.
12. Make sure that the hoisting belt/chain/cable is hanging vertically downwards, and does not touch the
CW quick coupler and/or any hoisting equipment, load or other obstacles.
13. Make sure that nobody is within the working area and danger area of the machine operating with a CW
quick coupler.
IT IS PROHIBITED TO BE ON OR BELOW THE CW QUICK COUPLER, ATTACHMENT, OR LOAD
SUSPENDED ON THESE AT ALL TIMES.
