4.3 CONNECTING THE HYDRAULIC VERSION

In the case of a hydraulic version, connect your CW quick coupler or quick coupler adapter to the designated
hydraulic circuit of the excavator as explained in the instructions below.
A CW QUICK COUPLER MAY ONLY BE CONNECTED TO A DEDICATED HYDRAULIC QUICK COUPLER
CIRCUIT, SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION 1.5.
1. In the case of the hydraulic version, connect hydraulic hoses from the excavator to the cylinder in the
CW quick coupler. See Figure 12 for the connections

SECTION 1.5. PREFERABLY USE HOSES WITH STEEL-SPRING ARMOUR GUARDS

2. Check whether the length of the hoses is correct by extending and retracting the bucket cylinder to its
limits, so that the CW quick coupler makes the maximum movement. To prevent damage, check that
the hoses do not come into contact with rotating parts of the machine.
3. In the case of a hydraulic version, bleed the hydraulic system.
4. Operate the cylinder a few times, then check the system for leaks and correct operation. Contact the
supplier of the CW quick coupler immediately if the coupler does not work properly.
