COOKING METHODS

Sauté
1.Turn the Thermostat Knob (2) to Saute mode
2. Place or pour into the ceramic pot (3) your preferred oil/butter as per your recipe
3. Add your prepared food into the tajine ceramic pot (3)
4. Saute as per your recipe
Brown
1. Turn the Thermostat Knob (2) to Brown mode
2. Place or pour into the ceramic pot (3) your preferred oil/butter as per your recipe
3. Add your prepared food into the ceramic pot (3)
4. Brown as per your recipe
Simmer
1. After either Sautéing, browning or preparing your ingredients
2. Turn the Thermostat Knob (2) to Simmer
3. Make sure the ingredients are evenly spread across the ceramic pot (3)
4. Place the lid (4) on top of the ceramic pot (3)
5. Cook for the suggested time as per your recipe
6. Once cooking complete either, switch to Keep warm or switch off as per instructions
Keep Warm
1. The keep warm feature is used to keep cooked foods at serving temperature.
2. Turn the Thermostat Knob (2) to Keep warm
3. Remember to switch the appliance of once the food has been served
Remember
After use turn the appliance with the thermostat knob to off, unplug the appliance and let it
cool down before cleaning
INSTRUCTIONS
• Check that the thermostat is turned off.
• Place the appliance in the center of the table or at least 30cm away from any vertical
surface such as a wall.
• Place the ceramic pot on the heating base.
• Attention: Only use the heating base with the supplied ceramic pot. This pot should not be
used with other heating sources.
• Ensure the pot bottom fits well into the base.
• Connect the main cable to an earthed wall outlet.
• When using an extension cord, use an earthed extension cord and ensure that nobody can
trip over it.
• Turn the appliance on and set the desired temperature with the thermostat knob. The
indicator will light up and indicate that the appliance heating up.
• The indicator lights goes off when the set temperature is reached.
• The appliance may emit some odour, crackling sound or fumes which is completely normal
and is not due to a malfunction.
