When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed. Please
read the safeguards below before using your Tajine.
• Read all instructions.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Always use an oven glove when handling the ceramic pot.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the appliance, cord or plugs in any water
or other liquids.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• After use, turn the thermostat knob off, unplug the unit and let it cool down completely.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment. Unplug the appliance
immediately if problems arise.
• The use of accessory attachments is not recommended by the appliance manufacturer as
they may cause injury.
• Always plug the power cord in an earthed wall outlet and when using an extension cord, use
an earthed extension cord and ensure that nobody can trip over it.
• Do not let the cord or any extension cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch
any hot surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or any other hot surface.
• Do not let the appliance heat up under a vacuum or without supervision. Place it in the
center of a table and at least 30cm away from any vertical surface such as a wall.
• Check that your mains voltage is 220- 240V.
• Use the appliance on a stable work surface. Do not build the appliance in.
• Do not use the appliance close to furniture, a wall, or flammable materials like curtains, etc.
• Never move the appliance during use. Let it cool before cleaning.
• The heating base should be used only with provided ceramic pot. The ceramic pot should
not be used with any other heating source other than this heating base.
• This appliance is designed for household use only, any business use, outdoor use, not in
compliance with this user manual will not void the warranty.
• Do not use the appliance for anything other than the intended use.
• Save this instruction manual.

FIRST TIME USE

When using your Electric Tajine for the first time, please read the instructions contained in
this manual. Unpack the appliance and remove all packaging materials. Clean the container and
lid with a soft sponge damped with soapy water before first use. Rinse thoroughly with clean
water and let it dry. Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaners.
SUBSEQUENT USAGE
Never immerse the heating plate into water or any other liquid. If necessary, clean the base with
a damp cloth and soapy water and wipe thoroughly with a dry cloth.
