6.5 Verify Alarm Function
The monitor performs a self-test upon startup. The alarm lamp illuminates, and the system gives a beep.
The beep indicates that the visible and audible alarm indicators are functioning correctly.
For further testing of individual measurement alarms, perform the measurement on yourself (for example,
SpO
or CO
) or enter Demo Mode or use a simulator. Adjust alarm limits and check that appropriate alarm

When an alarm occurs, observe the following steps and take proper actions:
Check the patient's condition.
