PREVENTIVE OR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
The routine maintenance operations listed below can be carried out by operators or maintenance technicians.
The Personal Protective Equipment provided for and to be used are in paragraph Chap. 1.7
7.1.1 TIGHTENING TORQUES
Screws and bolts of different types and sizes must be tightened during maintenance procedures.
The following tables show, depending on the type of screws and/or bolts present, the value of the maximum
tightening torque to be used and observed in order to avoid problems with the product.

CAUTION
It is forbidden for the operator to carry out maintenance and/or tightening of screws and bolts reserved
for the mechanical maintenance technician or the electrical maintenance technician.
7.1.2 REPLACEMENT OF TEETH
The following section shows how to replace damaged teeth on the harvesting heads.
Replacement of ALICE harvesting head teeth
•
Remove the rake from the attachment (28) by unscrewing the 2 screws (26) securing the plate (25).
•
Shorten the damaged tooth (3) to approx. 2 cm.
•
Place the teeth support (21) on a vice and hit the tip of the tooth (20) with a hammer until it slides out of its
seat.
•
Insert the new tooth into place, taking care to butt the plastic tooth against the wall of the tooth support
•
Refit the rake to the attachment.
