CAUTION: It is strictly forbidden to attempt combinations other than those permitted such as the power
unit (1-2) with the harvesting head (6-7-8-9) or connect the extension poles using systems or means not supplied by
the manufacturer.
3.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
3.1 PERMITTED - INTENDED USE
The product is for a professional use only in agriculture.
The POWER 58 or POWER 58 PLUS power units combined with the harvesting head and extension pole make up the
generic complete tool type for olive and coffee harvesting.
The use of these products must only and exclusively be entrusted to trained and authorised personnel with the
professional knowledge and skills to ensure their safe and proper use.
In the event of operational difficulties during harvesting activities, stop the job immediately in order to avoid damage to
the product or dangerous conditions for people and check the tool's condition and/or correct operating conditions.
The training and sensitizing of the operator must be entrusted to skilled personnel, capable of developing qualified
theoretical and practical training to enable them to correctly implement all the technical operations and behaviours that
are decisive for their own safety and the safety of persons working in the areas where the product is used.
Ways of use specified in the manual as incorrect must never be permitted under any circumstances.
Improper use of the product and lack of maintenance can lead to serious danger to personnel.
The actions described in this manual as forbidden and not permitted, which obviously cannot cover the whole range of
potential possibilities for "non-permitted use" of the product, are however the most "reasonably" foreseeable ones and
are to be considered absolutely forbidden.
Only use the product from the ground in a safe and stable position, ensuring perfect and stable balance during use and
handling.
It is forbidden to use the product when precariously balanced on surfaces where the risk of slipping is present (for
example on a hill and/or on damp grass, snow, ice, etc.) or any place where it is impossible to maintain a stable balance
(for example on steep slopes).
Avoid working in bad weather conditions, such as fog, heavy rain, strong winds, hailstorms, snow and ice, thunderstorms
(risk of electrocution).
Do not carry out harvesting operations with the arms above shoulder height; in order to avoid incorrect ergonomic
operating conditions, which could cause postural hazards for the operator over time.
