Always check that the safety devices are working properly.

Before starting the product, make sure that there are no foreign bodies between the moving parts.

Follow the manufacturer's instructions for adjustments and lubrication (see chap. 7).

Never use the product if it is damaged, wrongly regulated or only partially assembled.
6.2 OPERATION
This paragraph sets out the conditions to be met in order to start the product.
6.2.1 PRODUCT START-UP
6.2.1.1 Start-up
Once assembled as indicated in par. 5.2 proceed with ignition:
•
Insert the power cable into the handle slot.
•
Connect the power cable to the connector, respecting the male-female couplings and using the anti-error to
direct the connector PINs.
•
Switch the tool on by pressing the ON-OFF switch and check that the LED lights up.
•
Hold the handles of the tool firmly with both hands.
6.2.1.2 Speed selection and modification
On the keypad, press the button to select the motor speed, pos. I speed 1080 rpm, II speed 1150 rpm, pos. III
speed 1180 rpm.
6.2.1.3 Procedure for switching the economiser function on/off
•
Connect the power pack to the battery.
•
Do not switch on the tool, hold down the speed selector switch for 5 sec. until the red ON LED on the equipment
confirms the operation by flashing.
•
Switch on the tool with the economiser function engaged. The speed selection LED flashes.
•
To switch off the economiser function, press and hold down the speed selector switch for 5 sec. until the red ON
LED on the equipment confirms the operation by flashing.
•
Switch on the tool with the economiser function switched off. The speed selection LED does not flash.
NOTE: The economiser function is not intended for use with ICARUS model harvesting head.
