The manual (Chapter 4) contains the residual risks and the information, instructions and
warnings/requirements for the management of these residual risks, which must be considered, taken care of
and managed by the customer/user.

The Manual (Chap. Safety) provides the residual risks and the information, instructions and warnings/requirements for
the management of residual risks to be taken care of by the user (Ref. EN ISO 12100:2010).
For a full description of the terminology used, please refer to the definitions in Annex I of the Machinery Directive
2006/42/EC and EN ISO 12100:2010.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE):
Personal protective equipment means any equipment intended to be worn and/or used by the worker for the purpose
of protecting him/her against one or more risks likely to threaten safety or health at work, and any element or
accessory intended for that purpose.
The following are not personal protective equipment:

Ordinary work clothes and uniforms not specifically intended to protect the safety and health of the worker;
The equipment of the emergency and rescue services;

The personal protective equipment of the armed forces, police forces and service personnel for maintaining public
order;
The identifiable protective equipment specific to road transport vehicles;

➢
Sports materials;
Materials for self-defence or deterrence;
➢
➢
Portable devices for detecting and reporting hazards and harmful factors.
USER:
The user (employer, company, personnel, etc.) is the person who uses the product as intended, or who entrusts
its use to competent and specially trained persons.
In this manual the term machine as defined in Article 2 of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, product or
equipment are used as synonyms.
CAUTION
Reading this manual, although exhaustive, can in no case replace adequate operator experience, and
is therefore only a useful reminder of the technical characteristics and main operations to be
performed.
