BRAKE ROD REPLACEMENT
Tools Required:
• 1/2" Combination Wrench
Procedure:
Note
Unless otherwise indicated, refer to Figure 19,
1 .
Raise the bed to the highest position .
2 .
Remove the steer wheel hood .
Note
When reinstalling the steer wheel hood, ensure the colored labels affixed to the hood and the brake/steer pedal match .
3 .
Using a 1/2" combination wrench, remove the two nuts, two shoulder spacers, two washers and two bolts (C1, C2)
holding each end of the brake rod to the locking levers .
4 .
Remove the defective rod .
5 .
Reverse the above steps to install the new brake rod .
6 .
Test the brakes before returning the bed to service .
