REMOVING THE REAR WHEEL
1. V-brake rim brake: Disconnect the brake cable
out the wheel more easily later.
Hydraulic rim brake: Open the quick-clamping lever
brake [OPEN].
2. Hydraulic rim brake: Take the brake cylinder
socket
in order to take out the wheel more easily later.

3. Pull the plug of the motor cable (model with rear wheel motor).
4. Loosen the axle nuts on both sides of the rear wheel with an 18
mm wrench or release the lever of the quick tensioner (depend-
ing on equipment).
5. Take off the axle nuts and the washers.
6. Pull out the rear wheel from the drop-out.
INSTALLING THE REAR WHEEL
1. Place the chain on the pinion.
2. Place the rear wheel into the drop-out. Ensure that the wheel is
placed straight in the holder.
3. Push the shifting protection bracket (if present) and the washers
onto the axle.
4. For models without quick clamp: Attach the wheel with the axle
nuts on both sides with an 18 mm wrench. Tighten the axle nuts (s.
chapter Torque specifications).
For models with quick clamp: Close the quick clamp properly (s.
chapter Quick clamp).
5. Plug in the plug of the motor cable (model with rear wheel motor).
6. V-brake rim brake: Connect the brake cable
Hydraulic rim brake: Push the brake cylinder

7. Hydraulic rim brake: Close the quick-clamping lever
the lever closes too easily, the quick-clamping screw must be ad-
justed (see chapter Brakes).
8. Check that the brake works properly and adjust it if necessary (s.
chapter Brake).
9. Set the gearshift (s. chapter Gearshift).
