DRIVE SYSTEM
Risk of accident!
• Familiarise yourself with the operation and specific driving behaviour of the e
bike in a secluded area away from road traffic. In particular, practice starting,

braking and driving into tight bends. Start with a low assistance level here.
• Do not set a high assistance level whilst driving into a tight bend or when tra
velling at low speeds. Choose a low assistance level instead.
• Compared to a bicycle, the ebike has a longer braking distance due to the high
er dead weight.
• As soon as one of the brake levers is actuated, the motor stops automatically.
This prevents unintentional propulsion in dangerous situations. (Only models
with brake interrupt switch!)
• If you stop pedalling during the trip, or if you brake with the back pedal brake,
the motor will also stop automatically after a short delay.
• If you switch off the drive system, the lighting is also switched off.
Danger of damage!
• The ebike is not suited for kilometreslong inclines as the motor would other
wise overheat and sustain damage. If you can only drive at walking speed even
though you have set the max. speed level, then shut off the drive system.
• When the battery is nearly depleted, the motor no longer runs uniformly and
may begin to "sputter". In this case, switch off the drive system to prevent cau
sing damage.
Depending on the model and version, PROPHETE e-bikes are equipped with different motors, batteries
and displays. The following variations are possible:
