LIGHTING
DANGER OF ACCIDENT!
• Always switch on the lighting in bad visibility conditions! Consider that not only
you will see better when the lighting is on, but that other road users will be
DANGER
able to see you better as well.
• The rechargeable battery must be used in bad visibility, in twilight and dark
ness. Check that the battery is sufficiently charged.
• Check on every ride with the lighting switched on that the light beam is set cor
rectly. It must in no case be too high, since you may then blind other road
users.
• All lighting on electrical bicycles must be applied with the ABG test sign (~K) for
approved types in Germany and correspond to the StVZO. Unapproved lighting
may be too weak in its performance or may not work reliably.
SETTING THE HEADLIGHT
Set the headlight as shown in fig. AE. Ensure
that the light beam is not too high since
other road users might otherwise be blinded
by it.
PARKING LIGHT FUNCTION
Headlights and rear lights are supplied with power by the bat-
tery. This means increased safety when the lighting is switched
on, because you are also visible when stationary. If the motor
support of the drive system switches itself off due to a de-
pleted battery, you can still use the lighting for at least 2 hours.
REAR LIGHT WITH BRAKE LIGHT FUNCTION
For the rear light with brake light function, the rear light is
equipped with a motion sensor that triggers a stop signal duri-
ng braking.
SWITCHING THE LIGHTING ON/OFF
To switch on the lighting, the battery must be inserted in the e-
bike.
1. Switch on the drive system (see the Drive system chapter).
