STORING THE BATTERY
DANGER OF DAMAGE AND ACCIDENTS!
• Always store the rechargeable battery fully charged, since the rechargeable
battery's cells may be damaged or even destroyed in case of deep discharge.
WARNING!
• The rechargeable battery must be stored in a dry and cool, frostfree room.
Danger of short circuit and fire!
Lithium ion rechargeable batteries have only a very low self-discharge rate, in contrast to other rechar-
geable battery types. Nevertheless, this rechargeable battery type also loses charge over time. Therefore,
recharge even a fully charged rechargeable battery for at least 2 hours, at the latest after 3 months wit-
hout use.
• In order to keep the selfdischarge of the rechargeable battery as low as possi
ble, the optimal storage room temperature is between 7–10 °C.
RANGE
The reach of your E-Bike strongly depends on different factors that may reduce the maximum possible
reach:
– Charge status of the rechargeable battery
– Pedalling output used
– Ambient temperature
– Tyre pressure
– Chosen speed level
Basically, if your chosen assistance level is lower and you pedal more, you will have a greater range. The
range also strongly depends on the ambient air temperature. If the temperature drops below 0°C, for ex-
ample, a sharp drop in battery performance and a drastically reduced range can be expected. With in-
creasing age and use of the battery, the battery capacity and its range will decrease accordingly.
Use the range calculator on our website (www.prophete.de) to determine for how many kilometres you
can rely on support by our drive.
• You can reach the maximum range by refraining from using the motor assistance
continuously. Use it mainly when accelerating, for inclines or against head wind.
• Make sure that the tyres always have sufficient air pressure, otherwise this can
shorten the range considerably.
• The choice of a lower assistance level combined with a higher own pedalling po
wer increases the range.
