Presettings on the Bus Coupler

Configuration error!
An incorrect valve system configuration can cause malfunctions in and damage to the overall
system.
The configuration may therefore only be carried out by qualified personnel (see section 2.4
"Personnel qualifications" on page 73).
Observe the specifications of the system owner as well as any restrictions resulting from
the overall system.
Observe the documentation of your PLC configuration program.
The following pre-settings must be made using the corresponding tools/aids:
Assigning a unique IP address to the bus coupler (see section 9.2 "Assigning a POWERLINK
address" on page 98)
Setting the parameters for the bus coupler (see section "5.5 Setting the bus coupler parameters"
on page 85)
Setting the parameters for the modules (see section 5.5.2 Setting parameters for the modules
on page 86)
No parameter byte is appended to the output data with Ethernet POWERLINK. The parameters
must always be written via objects. B&R controllers offer objects 0x2010 and 0x21nn for writing
the parameters on start-up under the point "device-specific parameters" so that these can
simply be entered there. This ensures that the parameters are transferred when the device
is started.
