Malfunction Possible cause
S/E LED flashes red Connection to master has been
disrupted. Ethernet POWERLINK
communication can no longer take place.
Cycle time set to less than 1 ms and
more than 42 objects mapped
S/E LED green, flashes Connection to the network has been
quickly established, but Ethernet POWERLINK
communication has not yet been
established.
L/A 1 or L/A 2 LED No data exchange with the bus coupler,
illuminated in green e.g. because the network section is not
connected to a controller
Bus coupler was not configured
in the controller.
L/A 1 or L/A 2 LED There is no connection to a network
is off participant.
The bus cable is defective and
no connection can be made with the next
network participant.
Another network participant is defective. Exchange network participant.
Bus coupler is defective.
Troubleshooting
Remedy
Check the connection to the master.
Increase cycle time to at least 1 ms
or map fewer objects
Connect the module to an Ethernet
POWERLINK system.
Switch on the Ethernet POWERLINK
controller.
Connect the network section with
a controller.
Configure bus coupler in the controller.
Connect fieldbus connection X7E1
or X7E2 with a network participant
(e.g. a hub).
Exchange the bus cable.
Exchange the bus coupler
