8.3.
Requirements for operation
8.3.1.
General information
⇒
Do not place any flammable objects on or near the kiln.
⇒
Do not burn flammable materials or food in the kiln.
⇒
Only set up and operate the kiln in a well-ventilated room. There must be at least one window opening. An
installation space with a supply and exhaust air system is recommended.
⇒
Operate the kiln only at ambient temperatures of +5 °C to +30 °C.
⇒
The kiln must be free-standing, and the heat radiation must not be obstructed.
⇒
Never open the kiln during operation or before it has cooled down completely. Uncontrolled escaping hot
gases create the risk of fire and injury as well as premature wear and tear on the kiln.
⇒
The switch box must always be closed. Otherwise, the built-in switchgear will have a shorter service life due
to contamination.
⇒
Extension cables, multiple socket strips, distribution socket strips, multiple plugs and similar may not be
used.
⇒
Work on the electrical system may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
⇒
Additionally for Fusing models:
Do not place any objects on the lid, thereby damaging the brick structure. The insulating firebricks will
break off and fall out. The manufacturer assumes no liability or guarantee for this!
8.3.2.
Monitored operation
The kiln should be used in monitored operation. In the case of monitored operation, the operating status of the kiln
must be checked at sufficiently short time intervals.
8.3.3.
Use of firing logs
The use of firing logs is recommended to achieve reproducible results.
8.3.4.
Safety & protective work clothing
When operating the kiln, the operating personnel must wear appropriate protective clothing. Hot, escaping gases
can lead to injuries. The manufacturer assumes no liability for personal injury or property damage!
8.4.

power cable from the socket.
⇒
The kiln is switched on and off by the main switch on the control unit.
⇒
The firing operation is also started and stopped by the control unit.
⇒
It is essential that you first read the relevant instruction manual for the control system carefully!
