Using a flat head screwdriver, push the
metal collar up on the top head of the
pressure spring.
Now you can remove the gas pressure

spring from the ball head.
Repeat the previous two steps for the

pressure spring on the other side.
Close the lid carefully. To do this, slowly
lower the lid on both sides with two

people until it rests on the kiln casing
again.

Dismantle the stop buffers on the left and
right on the back of the fusing kiln.
As the pressure springs have been
disconnected, carefully open the lid
10
again. Do not allow the metal frame of the
lid to hit the kiln casing.
