6.2.2.
Acclimating the kiln
The kiln should acclimate for at least 12 hours, preferably 24 hours, after delivery and installation at the operating
site before commissioning. Rapid temperature change can condense the moisture in the cold air leading to short
circuits and defects in electrical components.
6.2.3.
Setting the working height
Placing the base frame on the base (Fusing)
⇒ These models are usually designed as tabletop models. They must be lifted onto a stable and sufficiently
strong base using an industrial truck.
⇒ Attention:
The table or base must be suitable for the expected high temperatures at the bottom of the kiln.
⇒ Optional base frames are also available for these models. The kiln must be lifted onto the appropriate base
frame using an industrial truck.
⇒ The base frames are available with and without castors under the following ROHDE item no. (standard
without castors):
Fusing 40/40 L:
Fusing 230:
Optional castor set:
Placing the kiln on its stand (FE 75 & FE 100 S)
⇒ These models are usually designed as tabletop models. They must be lifted onto a stable and sufficiently
strong base using an industrial truck.
⇒ Attention:
The table or base must be suitable for the expected high temperatures at the bottom of the kiln.
⇒ A base frame is also available as an option for these models. The kiln must be lifted onto the appropriate
base frame using an industrial truck.
⇒ The base frame is available with castors under the following ROHDE item no.:
FE 75/100 S:
Adjusting the height of the kiln legs (FE 250–FE 1000 S)
751265
751254
750060
751255
These models are equipped with a base frame,
including castors, and the working height can be
adjusted to three positions.
The two pairs of legs can be locked in three
positions for working heights of 800, 900 and
1000 mm.
Always adjust the two pairs of legs evenly to the
same height.
The kiln must be lifted by the base frame (see
Section 5.2.3.3) to adjust the pairs of legs.
Then the two bolts and the two nuts on the inside
can be loosened, and the legs pulled out or
pushed in and set to the desired working height.
When the two pairs of legs have been brought to
the same height, the nuts and bolts must be
tightened again on all legs.
